2016 Chrysler 200 Oil Service Light Reset

The following guide will show you how to reset the oil service warning light on the 2016 Chrysler 200.

For the short-lived second-generation Chrysler 200, you may find that you have an “oil change required” message appearing on your dashboard.

To get rid of this message you must perform a reset which is easily done through the instrument cluster menu in front of the driver.

You can do this procedure in just a few simple steps:

  1. Turn the vehicle on by pressing the start-stop button next to the steering wheel but do not depress the brake pedal to start the engine.
  2. Using the directional keys on the left-hand side of the steering wheel you need to cycle through the options (using the up and down buttons) to get to “Vehicle Info” and then inside that submenu you will find “Oil Life” using the left and right buttons.
  3. With “Oil Life” now selected all you have to do is hold down the “OK” button to reset the warning.
