0 Chrysler PT Cruiser Light Reset

The following guide will show you how to reset the warning light on the 0 Chrysler PT Cruiser.

The Chrysler PT Cruiser is a retro-styled compact car that was manufactured by Chrysler between 2000 and 2010. The ‘PT’ part of the name stands for personal transport.

Chrysler only released a single generation of the model during its time on the market. Within the generation, it featured either a 2-door convertible or a 4-door hatchback layout. Both of these versions had an engine mounted in the front, which drove the front wheels.

While it is hard to compare the styling to most other cars on the market, the PT Cruiser was almost a direct rival to the Chevrolet HHR, another heavily stylized retro compact. Other competition came from the likes of the Dodge Caliber.

Chrysler heavily leaned into the retro styling for the model, which many consider being hit or miss. Evidence of this can be seen with two special editions called the Flame package and the Woodie package. These two variants paid homage to old-school hotrods and the trend of wood-paneled vehicles respectively.

Other notable special editions include the Route 66, Pacific Coast Highway, Sunset Boulevard, Series 5, and Cruiser Sport.

While not technically a special edition, Chrysler also released a premium performance version called the PT Cruiser GT.

Regular trim levels consisted of a whopping 12 levels. These ranged from the Base up to the premium Limited. The various other packages featured only slightly different variations in terms of interior and exterior trim.

The PT Cruiser was offered various petrol engine sizes, as well as a single diesel option. The petrol versions ranged from a 1.6 L inline-4 up to the turbocharged 2.4 L inline-4 found in the GT model. The diesel engine was a turbocharged 2.2 L inline-4.

The model was discontinued due to low sales in a relative niche market.
